Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Dave Huntriss. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his magic sound.
I liked the general sound proposed by this artist from the first notes.
The nostalgic and dreamy vibes immediately hit my imagination and I started flying with my mind.
Listening to Dave’s songs I imagined myself driving an old convertible to the ocean with a surfboard loaded in the back on one of those summer days when you just want to feel free.
The airy arrangements made me feel the sea breeze and I could hear the warmth of the sun in this artist’s voice.
Very nice production that keeps every small nuance under control.
The chord progression is never trivial and manages to entertain the listener with interesting melodic variations.
A nice mix leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
A nice piece of work that I recommend absolutely!
Dreams About Rooms is Dave Huntriss’ Single Out Now!
A marvelous voice!
Dave Huntriss is a British multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer who writes pop songs for indie fans. He was born and raised in Glasgow, then Dorset, and has been based in Bristol, UK since 2016. He is known locally for his involvement with the bands Nicholson Heal, Hailaker, The Malago Ballroom, and musician Kate Stapley amongst others.
He has, however, been writing and releasing music alone since his teens, citing strong influences from Bon Iver, Frightened Rabbit, and The National to help him shape his own brand of honest and woeful acoustic indie songs.
