Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Damien. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his compositional style.
Fantastic, this is the first adjective that came to my mind while listening to the music of this talented artist.
Somehow his compositional style reminded me of Marilyn Manson in a softer version … if distorted electric guitars were added to his new single ‘Human’ it would become a New Metal tune.
The rhythm is pressing and awakens ancestral and tribal atmospheres.
Music that seems to originate from Africa, from those hypnotic drums that you can hear in the distance in the savannah. This music awakens primal instincts in you and makes you feel free.
I was very impressed by this artist and I recommend everyone to go and listen to him.

Ipswich’s prophet of prose, alt-electro-rock (darkwave) musician DAMIEN is a queer, non-binary artist who powerfully pushes against mainstream conventions with poignant, post-punk political commentaries. Emerging in early 2020, DAMIEN’s music blends electro rock with elements of both pop and industrial, and pairs this with lyrical content that is simultaneously clever and catchy. He has been compared to Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and Gorillaz.
In 2021 DAMIEN released the full length album, ‘Girl’, which saw was praised for reshaping alternative electronica by Happy Mag. DAMIEN has received national and international airplay and has frequently featured in local, national and international publications.
