Good Day Noir Family, Joshua Ketchmark is in town again to give us another intense moment of music.
Crossbone is Joshua Ketchmark’s Single Out Now
Perhaps one of the best songs on Blood’s album.
Particularly passionate is the interpretation of Joshua Ketchmark who already from the intro captivates you by making his vocal cords vibrate intensely.
One of the first things that caught my attention is the drum fill at minute 1.13 which reminded me of Victim of Love by the Eagles.
And from that moment the song begins to grow until it pushes you to sing along with him in the chorus.
The collaboration with the fantastic musicians of which you can find more info below is particularly successful. The sound and the arrangements are of the highest level.
The lyrics as usual manage to describe emotions that we can all relate to as they speak of real life. We all have dreams, which are what keep us alive. Although sometimes the road is uphill we must never give up.
Joshua Ketchmark is going to make all his dreams come true as God has endowed him with a lot of talent.

Crossbone is Joshua Ketchmark’s Single Out Now
Nashville-based singer-songwriter and Americana artist Joshua Ketchmark has just released his sixth single, ‘Crossbone,’ from his 2022 album ‘Blood.’ The song’s powerful lyrics explore the universal human experience of facing adversity and the power of perseverance in the face of challenge.
Inspired by the resilience of those who chase their dreams through thick and thin, ‘Crossbone’ is a poignant reflection on the power of determination and the relentless pursuit of something more. Ketchmark’s lyrics encapsulate the highs and lows that come with the pursuit of one’s dreams.
In ‘Crossbone,’ Ketchmark collaborates with an all-star team of musicians, each bringing their unique styles to the table. Zak St. John (Black Star Riders) provides the driving drum sound that sets the tone for the song. Ger Hoffman (Joe Diffe) lays down a solid foundation on bass, while Sadler Vaden (Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Morgan Wade) infuses his own style of Fleetwood Mac-inspired riffs on electric guitar. Michael Webb (Cimmaron615/Chris Stapleton) adds haunting and powerful piano and organ that capture’s the song’s emotive power. Heather Luttrell and Kenny Wright deliver amazing harmony vocals, reminiscent of what Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga or Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks brought to their collaborations. Joshua Ketchmark himself contributes lead vocals, synth, electric, acoustics, and resonator guitars, as well as writing, producing, and mixing the entire song.
The result is a cross between Fleetwood Mac and a song from the soundtrack to the 2018 movie ‘A Star Is Born.’ With its relatable and emotive lyrics, ‘Crossbone’ is a powerful reminder that dreams never die, even in the face of adversity.
The chorus of ‘Crossbone’ includes the line, “when goodbye is all you have left,” a powerful statement of resilience and determination
