Crash This Gate is Ceili Rain’s Album Out Now
This artist’s music took me back in time.
A compositional style inspired by ethnic traditions and classic rock. A very interesting combination indeed.
Surely we are dealing with an artist with a great compositional experience behind him. The songs on Crash This Gate have a very refined dynamic and harmonic progression. All the tunes are solid and keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last secondo.
The arrangements are superlative, with medieval and prog overtones.
This makes the music of Crash This Gate absolutely out of the ordinary. Bob Halligan Jr’s compositional richness and vision is fantastic. This artist with his band are able to give us strong and intense emotions.
There is only to learn from Ceili Rain. The ability to create such songs is a talent that only a few have.
I recommend everyone to go and listen to this magnificent album. You will live a fantastic musical experience.

Ceili Rain (pronounced Kay-lee) was formed in 1995 by veteran songwriter Bob Halligan, Jr. The Syracuse, N.Y native had been thinking conceptually about combining Celtic instrumentation within a pop-rock setting since 1989, and had received encouragement from his wife Linda to move forward with the idea. Formerly, he had written songs that had been recorded by heavy metal artists such as Judas Priest and Blue Oyster Cult, but was uncomfortable of the association with negatively perceived artists. He had also written with Michael Bolton, and had his songs recorded by such diverse artists as Cher, Kathy Mattea, and Joan Jett.
