Good Day Noir Family,
Visionary frontman Milutin Krasevic and his band, Bones In Butter, return with another sonic gem – “Cosmopolis.”
Cosmopolis is Bones In Butter’s Album Out Now
The album opens with a track that would make Lou Reed proud – “You Just Drawned.”
It drips with an otherworldly atmosphere, laced with subtle gothic undertones. The mood shifts gears with “Dumped,” a propulsive alternative rock anthem with undeniable echoes of The Cure.
A standout moment arrives with “Skunks!” The song explodes with a psychedelic eye-watering key solo that throws you back to a 70s acid trip, hurtling you towards the unknown.
This push-and-pull between introspection and raw energy is a hallmark of Bones In Butter’s sound.
The album consistently maintains a twilight feel, laced with melancholic nostalgia. “Persona Non Grata” is another captivating track, its melody teetering on the edge of reality and the metaphysical.
Here, the guitar solo takes center stage, weaving in an unexpected Arabic influence that adds intrigue to this superb tune.
Every song on “Cosmopolis” feels solid and showcases Krasevic’s compositional skills, offering a journey through diverse atmospheres while retaining a distinct Bones In Butter identity.
