Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Collective Fear. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere created by this music.
The twilight and mysterious sound proposed by this band immediately intrigued me.
Magical melodies that seem to hide a secret, a mix between Pet Shop Boys and The Cure with some grunge shades that are able to make this sound peculiar and unique.
The new Ep Foster is a solid work, where all the songs are well thought out, honestly, I have not found flaws in this musical product.
The dark atmosphere and the obsessive attention to every little detail make Collective Fear’s music refined and this sound manages to stand out from the crowd.
Somehow these songs are able to speak directly to the listener’s heart and soul. A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
Foster is Collective Fear’s Single Out Now!
Dark and Magical!
Los Angeles-based Collective Fear is a hard-hitting yet accessible fusion of alternative music – ranging from synthpop and electro to 80s-inspired post-punk and shoegaze. Born from the boredom of isolation and the desire to push the limits of songwriting and production, Collective Fear independently released a number of standalone singles over the past year showcasing the ability to bend genres and incorporate elements from a variety of musical influences.
After being featured on two successful compilations with Candlepin Records, Collective Fear has teamed up with the label for the release of Foster in early 2022, a five-track extended play that will take the listener on an expansive journey of dreamy guitars, hard-hitting riffs, and contemplative vocals while maintaining an atmosphere that begs a crowd to sing along.
