our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Coastal Town. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I like the atmosphere of their music.
I ran into this band and discovered this beautiful song.
The strength of this song in my opinion is that it manages to re-create the sensations of those hot summer days that never end where you are bored because your friends are not there and you have to let another day pass.
While you are living those days they seem like a waste of time but then you realize that instead, they are an important part of our life, moments in which you can get to know yourself better and you have time to think.
This song perfectly describes the atmosphere of those moments.
The harmonic intuitions are very interesting and the vocal interpretation that manages to reveal boredom is fantastic.
I found no flaws in this song, the musical part, the lyrics, the choice of sounds have been thoughtfully designed and inserted in an impeccable way.
A band to keep under the radar for sure.
