Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s featured artist is Little Tealeif and his Ep Charcoal.
Charcoal is Little Tealeif’s Ep
This artist offers a modern and original sound.
The thing I liked most about this artist’s compositional style is that he adds ethnic nuances to his songs that make this sound very intriguing.
Certainly, Little Tealeif is inspired by the 80s, and artists like Depeche Mode, and Alphaville come to mind above all for the musical arrangements.
An artist with a developed artistic taste that allows him to always make the right decision. Charcoal is a solid album that follows a coherent thread.
The production and interpretation are professional and the interpretation impeccable. The intricate and sinuous melodies of these songs manage to hypnotize the listener who remains glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Charcoal is Little Tealeif’s Ep
Stepping out from his studio after spending a little while meandering through the streets of Paris, Little Tealeif has returned to Kent with a focus: to make gritty and intricate electropop. His debut single, ‘Pedestal People’, has been released on the 18th of November 2022, followed by his EP, ‘Charcoal’ on the 25th of November 2022. Playfully sober lyrics, underlined by subtle dance grooves, are woven together with threads of indie guitar – Tealeif might not be too out of place on a bill with Hot Chip or Metronomy. The multi-genre musician has had several different projects over the years while periodically backed by musicians. However, he is ultimately a solitary creator of music and is moving forward with his brand of “new wave” as well as producing underground beats for UK rappers.
Throughout the year, at predominantly Brighton venues, Little Tealeif has been curating, performing and tweaking his live set with a view to perform even more going into 2023. ‘Charcoal’ is released through Not Saints, the UK’s only not-for-profit sober record label.
