Good Day Noir Family,

Catch 22 is One and a half Dog’s Single
Norway is known today mainly for the Black Metal scene and artists like Burzum, Emperor come to mind when you think of that beautiful country.
It is nice to hear a different genre coming from the Norwegian lands. (We obviously can’t forget the legendary A-ha). One and a half Dog offers an alternative, refined and epic rock that has nothing to share with the guys who like to burn churches and paint their faces black and white.
The thing I like most about One and a half Dog‘s compositional style is that in their melodies and chord progression I manage to feel the nostalgia, solitude, immensity, and power of the nature of their country.
The vocal timbre is very interesting, a voice that reminded me of bands from the 80s like the Scorpions.
It is clear that these guys spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve this musical alchemy.
Their style impressed me a lot and I recommend everyone to go and listen to them … Burzum and company are just puppets in comparison 🙂
Catch 22 is One and a half Dog’s Single Out Now!
Deep and Intense!
Catch 22 is One and a half Dog’s Single
One and a half Dog (OAAHD) is a five-piece alternative/hard/classic rock band out of Trondheim, Norway. The band consists of 5 well grown-up guys with a common interest in quality rock-music. One and a half Dog was formed in 2017 as a pure hobby-project with the goal of writing and recording enough good songs for a vinyl LP.
We had originally no plans for gigging or promoting our music, the whole band-project was purely ment for our own satisfaction. However, when releasing our two first songs in 2019 we discovered an interest out there… Some people, besides from ourselves, seemed to like what we were doing.
The band will continue releasing singles for now, as it forces us to really deliver quality as every song has to stand on it’s own. The album will for sure be released at one point, but we have no such plans for the moment. The sound of the band is not easy to describe. We don’t want to be put in any genre and consider ourselves “Rock” in the broadest fashion. Our previous songs have been compared to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Tool among others. We get our inspiration way back from the 70s and up to acts of today as Rival Sons and Tool.
