Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Carcrash Casino. I discovered this band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I instantly loved their songs.
The sound of the Carcrash Casino is very interesting and follows the path of the classic English style.
Sour guitars that move on high tones, a very lively drums that use the cymbals a lot making their style very recognizable. The slightly nasal voice in my opinion gives this sound an extra touch, making the product even more original.
These guys can play and you can see that they spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room!
The production and mix are very well done and the sounds are masterfully balanced between them.
I really liked the use of distortion to add even more energy to the Carcrash Casino‘s tracks.
Nobody Knows More About Carcrash Casino Than I Do is Carcrash Casino’s Album Out Now!
Carcrash Casino are a four-piece guitar band from London. They’re influenced by a wide range of genres: British guitar pop, post-rock, prog, and indie – with the urgency and melody of The Who and The Jam.
Their debut album (release: 04/12/20) is a compact set featuring eight tracks of quintessentially English swaggering indie rock and catchy pop hooks. Debut single ‘Don’t Make Me Laugh’ was played on Tom Robinson’s BBC Radio 6 Music Saturday evening show where he declared it ‘probably my favourite record of the week’.
