our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to cable tv. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was bewitched by his music.
The mysterious and modern sound proposed by this artist immediately intrigued me. Dark wave vibes and hypnotic vocal melodies.
As soon as I hit the play button I was literally transported to another universe, this music seems to come straight from the future.
The sensations I experienced are masterfully described in the video clip. The visual effects and this alien character who brings the universe inside him and who becomes the universe fascinated me a lot.
The production is excellent, the choice of sounds and the attention to every little detail absolutely fantastic.
cable tv is a very talented artist/producer who has a lot of compositional experience behind him. His songs are not obvious and banal and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Go and listen to his music, it is worth it!

cable tv is the new synth based artist project from James Yuill.
Best known for his mix of electronica and folk, Yuill’s live shows would swing violently from heavy techno to straight up acoustic ballads. (It was better than that makes it sound).
He toured the world both with his own headline shows and supporting artists like Phoenix, Hot Chip, M83, Röyksopp, The Temper Trap, Peter Bjorn and John and many more.
His recent Loframes collaboration with French producer Franck Russo saw the pair remix Erasure, M83, Miami Horror, Kraak & Smaak, NZCA LINES and Bright Light Bright Light as well as releasing many original songs.
