Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Brick Blair. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the intimacy created by his music.
As soon as I hit the play button I was immediately fascinated by the vocal timbre of this talented artist.
A voice that seems to come out of those old Juke Boxes that you can find in a small and unknown bar of New York.
This music brings with it the delicacy of the past and it is as if it’s able to open a time portal with distant eras.
Like when you open a drawer and find yellowed polaroids inside and for a few moments you remember and relive those magical moments.
This music literally makes you travel with your imagination and somehow this melancholy melody manages for a moment to make you feel the love for life and for everything that surrounds us.
On The Zooms is Brick Blair’s Single Out Now!
Dreamy and Sweet!
Quote: “Hi I’m Brick. I’ve been a farm boy, fired choir boy, best boy, and a cowboy. A mechanic, a drunken wreck, a trucker, and a nailer. A baler, a swather, a mother, a father. A Brethren, a preacher, a missionary, a teacher. An Albertan, Victorian, New Yorker, valedictorian. A hoser and a closer, a fisher and a fighter. A painter, a framer, a gamer, and brat tamer. A guru, a journalist, a heathen, a hedonist. A photographer, biographer, a guard and a center. A monogamist, polyamorist, enveloper and developer. A hunter, biographer, racer, and writer. I’ve lost it all but kept the rest. And finally, I am—and will always be—Brick, and these are my songs“.
