Boundary Layer is Mark Winters’ Album Out Now | Edgar Allan Poets
The sound of this artist made me think of legendary artists like Lou Reed and Bob Dylan.
The vocal interpretation and timbre reminded me of the lead singer of the Velvet Underground.
Surely we are faced with an eclectic songwriter capable of creating original and unique music. The chord progression is intricate and sophisticated as well as the lyrics.
Boundary Layer is a coherent album that follows a common thread that binds all the songs into one solid sound product.
Surely Mark Winters has a style that stands out from the crowd, his sound is immediately recognizable.
It is difficult to create something different on a musical level but in my opinion, this artist has succeeded. A blend of ingredients ranging from rock to folk makes this music a pleasure to listen to.

Boundary Layer is Mark Winters’ Album Out Now | Edgar Allan Poets
Texas-based Indie-rock musician Mark Winters is many things; a soulful songwriter, a witty poet, passionate musician, an entrepreneur, an optimist, a family man and a bonafide rocket scientist! (He has a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering.)
As a young boy, Mark’s grandmother taught him to express himself through poetry, setting him on a creative and expressive path. As a teen, Mark found that music really moved him, generating and intensifying emotions like joy, sadness or aggression, especially strong emotive vocals and guitar lines. As Mark developed his musical style, the poetry and emotional connection became heavy influences to his writing process.
Mark began his music career playing cover songs with popular local band Agave Report (they helped his ambidextrous brain decide whether to play guitar lefty or righty and learned that he could not sing lyrics he didn’t personally agree with). Mark’s unflappable and optimistic outlook on life gave him the urge to share his original voice. Combining his music knowledge and his thoughtful and stirring poetry (John Mayer meets Tom Petty) Mark’s music embodies this signature sound with lively, soul connecting guitar riffs and memorable lyrics that interpret life, uplift, encourage, and inspire.
His approach to songwriting is open and honest, sharing his innermost thoughts and emotions to create a personal and memorable connection.
