Blue Crystal is Linnéa’s Single Out Now
The compositional style of this artist hooked me right away. Linnéa’s sinuous and intriguing way of singing mesmerized me.
A sound that looks to the past, to the 90s but manages to be modern at the same time.
Linnéa is an artist with a mature and solid vision. Blue Crystal’s melody is twilight and enigmatic. Alternative rock with dark overtones that entertains the listener from the first to the last second.
In the outro those “ooh, ooh” reminded me of Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries. I found some similarities in the way of composing music between these two artists.
I’m curious to hear what she’ll be able to do in the future because Linnéa is a very talented artist.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

Blue Crystal is Linnéa’s Single Out Now
Linnèa is a solo artist based in the city of Chester. After being in bands either singing covers or someone else’s lyrics, she is now releasing her own music for the first time.
Since studying music at Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Linnèa has been the lead vocalist for bands such as ‘party-rock pioneers Team New Band (like Talking Heads & Pixies taking steroids together), to the dark Dead Weather that inspired Hari Debi. Achievements from this include BBC Introducing support as well as headlining Archie’s Stage at YNOT festival. Linnèa still works very closely with Mark Docherty, the lead guitarist in both previous bands and he does all the instrumental tracks for her on the new EP.
Blue Crystal is the classic tale of girl meets boy, boy leads girl on. The worst thing about wanting what you can’t have is being made to feel like you can have it. You get fixated on the whole situation and it consumes your mind to the point that you can’t think clearly and they maybe even oblivious to what you are thinking & feeling which makes the whole situation worse. Musically the track is a homage to the best of noughties garage pop/rock with a simplistic structure and over the top guitar sounds reminiscent of The White Stripes.
