Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Blondeking. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify I liked their musical vision.
The sound proposed by this band immediately convinced me.
The inspirations from the past are evident and the 80s are predominant in their way of composing but certain choices of sounds and some harmonic passages make this music modern at the same time.
It is this subtle balance between past and future that in my opinion gives a magical charm to their sound.
The production is very good and you can feel that these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to reach such an enviable musical understanding.
The chord progression is very interesting and manages to keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second. Even the obsessive attention to little details helps to make this sound even more refined.
I was positively impressed by Blondeking because they have a clear musical vision and follow it with passion and commitment.

Bondeking is an indie retro-forward band that often takes its Influences from the late 1970s to mid-1980s alternative music. Based primarily in Salt Lake City, UT, Blondeking was formed in 2017.
Blondeking counts bands like Joy Division/New Order, Throbbing Gristle, Echo & The Bunnymen, OMD, and Nitzer Ebb as influences.
