Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Bleach Boy. I discovered this band while shuffling songs on Spotify I was fascinated by the atmosphere created by their music.
The sound proposed by this band is intriguing, mysterious and hypnotic.
These crepuscular atmospheres are emphasized even more by the singer’s dark voice, a sinister vocal timbre that literally manages to speak to the listener’s soul.
The singer certainly helps to make the sound of this band unique and in some passages, he reminded me of Eddie Vedder and in others Peter Steele.
The chord progression is very interesting with its continuous melodic and rhythmic twists that keep you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
Bleach Boy are brave enough to follow their instinct and not commercial rules. This choice led them to “invent” a sound that manages to stand out from the crowd and place them in their own limbo.
A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Bleach Boy are a post-punk/grunge band in Manchester, made up of musicians from different parts of the country: Tommi (Sheffield), Cian (Birmingham), Sam (Leeds) and Milo (Nottingham). In 2017 they began rehearsals in a damp basement in Manchester with the aim of creating an unfiltered and honest approach to their music, and within a year they produced three singles which were later accompanied by music videos – these all met with a great reception.
