Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Bladderwrack. I discovered this band/duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I instantly loved the vibes of their songs.
Finally a band/duo who really make me have fun.
We are faced with a positively strange artist. I would say that calling this music avant-garde is reductive.
Absolutely innovative in the way they present themselves to the public, with raw but very effective sound.
Irreverent videos and lyrics that talk about current problems.
Bladderwrack have no masks, yeas they wear makeup for videos, but they have no filters and they express their feelings without fear, probably shared by many English people.
Listening to them I feel like I am catapulted into a London of 1800 where the gin was flowing and in a bar in the harbor you could run into a band playing for some drunken sailors.
A very interesting band, original and irreverent as I like.
