Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Birdman Cult. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere created by their music.
The sound proposed by this band is very interesting. A sound that winks at the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
A rough and acid rock that awakens in you an insatiable desire of freedom.
The guitars reminded me of the ’80s and they are accompanied by more modern sounds (keys, effects) that characterize the general sound of this band.
A way of composing music in the typical English style, irreverent and direct without strings attached.
The melodic intuitions and the chord progression are never predictable and banal and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
A beautiful powerful, epic, and modern music that I recommend to everyone.

Great Vibes!
The origins of the band’s name are complex and mixed. Partly named after ‘The Birdman Cult’ an ancient religious sect who inhabited Easter Island who were suppressed and eventually halted by Christian missionaries in 1860’. A second influence is the metaphor of the Tangat Manu or ‘Birdman’, where representatives of native clans would select a prospective champion to retrieve a seasonal egg from a remote island. The winner would retrieve the much-coveted prize, grow their hair and nails, be lavished with the season’s harvest and never have to want for anything until the next Tangat Manu was victorious. ‘
