I already reviewed Strange Souvenirs in the past but the Duo is back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.
This time Strange Souvenirs offer a slightly more intimate song that immediately intrigued me.
This nostalgic atmosphere has the ability to speak directly to the soul and heart of the listener. It is as if this song managed to speak to your subconscious and bring back distant memories.
Like when you find old yellowed Polaroids in a drawer and for a moment relive those fragments of your life frozen in a picture.
The vocal interpretation is so sweet and heartfelt that it makes you believe in the words of the lyrics.
The Strange Souvenirs are really very good and I’m happy to have met them because they always manage to gift me with beautiful moments of music.

Nostalgic and Sweet!
The duo’s latest release “Beaches” was recorded on the same day as “Nothing2”, back in January 2021 and left untouched for most of the year. It wasn’t obvious back then, but it turns out that “Beaches” is the perfect barebones B-side – leading the listeners into safer, mellow territory after the sheer intensity of the sprawling “Nothing2”.
The calm after the storm. What’s it about? … “The bittersweet waves of the past and present breaking in our hearts and heads, splashing and stinging us as beads of regret, joy, confusion and bewilderment trickle down our cerebral cortex. Kind of.”
