our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Bad Guru. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of their music.
This band offers a direct sound that immediately struck me. A sincere rock capable of awakening your more rock spirit.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding. The guitars feature very catchy riffs and the bass and drums keep the beat flawlessly.
A special mention to the voice that with its high and solid timbre manages to distinguish even more the sound of this band.
Honest sound with no strings attached, these guys follow their musical vision without fear and deliver really beautiful music.
A band to keep under the radar for sure.

Bad Guru are: Sierra Watkins- vocals Ethan Bilkert- guitar Joey Hurley- guitar Blake Powell- bass Quinn Brophy- drums. They are from Atlanta, Georgia, and formed in 2019.
Quote: “We’re a group of long-time friends and former bandmates who found ourselves in the Atlanta area after college. The stars aligned and we decided to form Bad Guru”.
