Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to ATMIG. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the uniqueness of their music.
The compositional style of this band is intriguing. As soon as I hit the play button I was immediately fascinated because I was unable to label this sound with something that already exists around.
ATMIG certainly like to experiment and have had the courage to follow their instincts and have managed to stand out from the crowd.
Very refined and instinctive music… perhaps the only artist who sounds slightly like them is David Bowie, the sinuous melodic lines reminded me of the thin White Duke.
All the songs on this album are solid and have made me travel with my imagination. I closed my eyes while listening to these beautiful tunes and I found myself in a parallel universe in a unique limbo made of soft and crepuscular colors.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

ATMIG, which stands for “After the Money is Gone,” is a Michigan indie-rock band, consisting of Tobie Lipski (vocals/guitar), Drew Borowsky (bass), Dan Clark (guitar), and David Jackowicz (drums). ATMIG released its first single “Trip” on April 22, 2017, on a vinyl 7 inch. ATMIG’s first album “Wishes” was released on January 19, 2019. Both albums were pressed by Jack White’s Third Man Pressing and recorded at Soundscape Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan. The music video for Trip, brought to you by Gravity Red Productions, premiered worldwide on 04.20.2017. ATMIG is out now with its new EP “Avec Muscles”.
