As Stars Burn is The Northern Light’s Single
The sound of this band is intriguing and different from the usual.
As soon as I pressed the play button I immediately liked the atmosphere that this music can create. In particular, I liked the vocal interpretation. The singer’s vocal timbre is very peculiar and manages to distinguish The Northern Light’s sound.
This band proposes an alternative rock that seems to wink at Europe. A compositional approach that reminded me of English bands rather than American ones.
In general, the chord progression seems very well thought out and unusual, especially in the chorus which becomes epic and seems like a nostalgic hymn describing a post-apocalyptic scenario.
The guitars have a lot of space but the rhythm section also stands out for the precision with which the bass and drums dialogue together.
A band to keep under the radar as they deliver quality music.
