our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Anton Commissaris. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify I liked the atmosphere created by his music.
I was intrigued by the music proposed by this artist, a sound capable of making you forget about everyday problems.
The thing I liked the most is the vintage and noir vein of Anton Commissaris’s music. A sound that suggests men wearing classic suits and fedora hats like in the Hitchcock movies.
For a moment it is as if I had stepped back in time and found myself living in those years when there was still no computer and people were used to socializing more.
Life Is For Livin ‘encourages us to do just that, to go out after months of seclusion due to the pandemic and meet and celebrate together. There is only one life and we have to live it to the fullest.
Anton Commissaris gave us this gift… a delightful and refined moment in a world that is drifting apart.

Anton Commissaris is a music composer, pianist, and vocalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anton loves all music but has a special place in his heart for Jazz, which he acquired from an early age. Anton’s inspiration comes from some of Jazz music’s greatest composers: Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. However, the amazing music of Lennon and McCartney first inspired Anton to try his hand at music composition.
“The song was inspired by an old friend’s upcoming milestone birthday. He is such an extroverted bon vivant who soaks up every second of life and generates tremendous energy as a friend. I wanted to celebrate his joie de vivre with this song. As it turns out, the song is being released as we emerge from more than two years of a global pandemic, and I believe it can remind us that we all need to get out of our comfort zones and seize the social interaction moment. Let’s not forget that life is for living“.
