The intriguing atmosphere created by this artist’s music immediately struck me.
The opening groove of the new single reminded me of the drums in Africa playing in the distance in the savannah.
The vocal timbre of Matthew Kerstein aka Maltese Flamingo in some moments reminded me of Chris Martin of Cold Play.
The compositional style of this artist is very original and difficult to label. Try mixing together Lou Reed for the vocal line and interpretation, John Carpenter for the 80’s effects of the keys, and Cold Play for the vocal timbre and you will enter the musical universe created by this talented artist.
Maltese Flamingo has a unique musical vision and has decided to follow a harmonic path never walked before.

All Forgiven is Maltese Flamingo’s Single | Indie Music
Maltese Flamingo is the new project from Matthew Kerstein, a Berlin-based artist by way of Boston and Chicago. Maltese Flamingo tests the boundaries of both Electronic and Analog sounds, striving to carve out space to breathe amid the bustling Berlin electronic scene.
“A few years were spent hanging out at Berlin clubs Kater Blau and Sysysphous on Sunday nights into Monday late mornings, watching the sun rise over the Spree, and summer European festivals in the German and Polish countryside, camping and being immersed in electronic groove,” Kerstein says. “Landing back in Boston, I was able to hole up in the studio and synthesize this experience with my past musical incarnation in my band Brighton MA. The first track finished was the recent release “Mother Nature’s Bliss.” This is the second track experimenting with this electronic folk blend, ‘All Forgiven.’”
