our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to After Arden. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was fascinated by their sound.
This music immediately put me in a good mood and managed to free my mind from everyday problems. An energetic and sincere sound that I would define candid and pure.
Dance Floor is a song that manages to speak directly to the listener’s heart and soul. The singer’s voice is very interesting, a timbre rich in subtle nuances that makes it very original.
The production is excellent and the interpretation and performance are flawless.
After Arden make their passion for music transpire through these notes and you feel that these guys have managed to create magical musical alchemy.
A band that I can recommend to everyone as they produce quality music that is able to move the listener.

After Arden, a Brighton based three-piece pop/rock band. They consist of two vocalists and a producer easily recognizable by their pastel colored suits. Everything you hear from After Arden is written, recorded, produced, arranged, sung and played by the three musicians. With their first release “We Are On Fire”, After Arden could count more than 15.000 Spotify plays. Now they’re back with their follow up single “Dance Floor”.
Dance Floor is the perfect power ballad to satisfy your nostalgic inner child. With the common thread being the never ending pop hooks with a heavenly satisfying chorus, the lyrics will capture your heart with their honesty and innocence. The song is about two people who have loved each other for years but have failed to express it, through fear of losing what they had. It’s a song about wanting to move on from childhood love. With a surprising rock bridge, the song takes a different direction and leaves the listener wanting more, just like the characters in the story feel.
