Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Addie Hamilton. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was struck by her wonderful voice.
What a beautiful voice this artist has, a voice capable of bewitching you instantly with her velvety timbre. A very slight raspiness makes this voice particularly nostalgic and charming.
I felt like Ulysses when he heard the mermaids singing for the first time!
Addie Hamilton’s music winks at the music of the 50s. Like those yellowed photos that we keep in our drawers, taken with a polaroid camera, and we try to give them new life with the filters of our phone.
The ability to mix past and modern is the secret of the charm of this artist’s music.
The beautiful choice of instruments and the numerous nuances in the arrangements are able to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Imagine a girl in a red dress walking on the quay of the port and the sailors who see her passing turn around and whistle at her to try to get at least a simple glance.
Fragments of past lives that find new life in the music of this magnificent artist.
Tangerine is Addie Hamilton’s Single Out Now!
Crystal clear talent and wonderful voice!
Great new single recorded at the Producers Studio in DC and featuring all live instruments. First of a few single releases for 2021 leading to a full album ( also coming out in vinyl) in the summer.
The follow up to ‘Tangerine’ is slated for Valentine’s day release Tangerine is a reminder to focus on the beauty in life. To believe that miracles can happen. To keep faith when the world around you says otherwise. As if you are living in a black and white film and you are the only one who sees the red, blue, tangerine.
Addie’s music has been featured in many TV shows from Riverdale to the Good Place to Nancy Drew and we expect her new release will find some love with music supervisors.
Working with publishing companies by the age of sixteen, her first record found placement on network television with a featured vocal. This song soon became Emmy nominated for Daytime Television in the best original song category.
At nineteen, her move to Los Angeles coincided with her signing with Round Hill Music.
To date her music has been shared with the public through popular film, television, and commercial placement such as-
The CW’s Riverdale and Katie Keene, Showtime’s Shameless, ABC Network’s The Catch, Disney’s Magic Camp, Paramount Network’s American Woman, MTV, HBO Max, and Swarovski.
Spring 2019 brought her collaboration with the Berlin-based Orchestra “String Theory”. She received a Grammy nomination for her collaboration on the Sekou Andrews Spoken Words album.
She co-wrote the String Theory single ‘’ Hollywood Calling ‘’ and is the featured artist on the song. Recorded and filmed live, it is the first single and video from the 45 piece ensemble’s new album ‘’ the Los Angeles suite’’
Addie continues to work with multiple publishing houses for film and television placement and has set to release her singles “tangerine” and “valentine” early 2021.
