The compositional freedom of this artist is enviable.
Already the first time I listened to his music I was struck by this prerogative. You feel that S J Denney has no filters and with great simplicity, he manages to set his emotions to music.
His musical vision is simple but not banal.
The new single A Silent Scream is a refined song with interesting harmonic nuances and a very interesting chord progression.
It is as if Lynyrd Skynyrd met Neil Young in this song.
An artist who is able to find emotions within himself which, like rough dimensions, are then refined and become beautiful songs.

This song focuses on a person who seems happy to the outside world, but is quietly burning inside. Sometimes desperation can be subtle to the onlooker… Having grown up playing the clarinet, I decided that I wanted to include a woodwind section in one of my compositions. I think that arrangement, alongside the piano accordion, really adds to the track. Towards the end of the song, you’ll also hear me singing through a megaphone.
