A vocal timbre rich in nuances that manages to speak directly to the heart and soul of the listener. At times Stephen William Hodd’s voice reminded me of Eddie Vedder’s.
An artist with a great compositional experience behind him who is capable of transforming his most intimate emotions into beautiful songs. A communicative gift that is absolutely out of the ordinary.

Stephen William Hodd is an artist with intense commitment to fearlessly mining the tunnels of the self using music as the tool for revelation beyond the catharsis of lyrical release.
Firmly rooted in the tradition of songwriting picked up whilst growing up in South-West Ireland, Hodd guides the listener via deftly fingerpicking guitar lines toward in depth excavations result in the laying aside of all judgement and presupposition, opening up the doors to a monumental release of emotional blockage.
Releasing music on his own label Savage Acoustic Records in order to maintain his fiercely guarded desire for independent creative freedom, 2022 sees Hodd release a live E.P. of raw and unpolished proportions this fall.
