Let Go Your Earthly Tether, paves the way for the album, offering a slow build that unfolds with cosmic pads, gradually drawing you into the band’s universe.
When the music truly kicks in at around the 1:20 mark, you can already sense the technical skills of the musicians, and the sheer effort put into crafting something immersive.
What Lies Beneath further demonstrates the band’s ability to balance complexity with memorability. The harmonies are striking, and the melody stays with you long after the song ends.
There’s a rare blend of musicianship and emotion at play here, reminding me of the underrated band Stramonio from about two decades ago—full of intricate, thoughtful compositions that still connect on a personal level.
Streams of Thought is a true epic, with jaw-dropping technical elements woven throughout. The track feels like a relentless journey, a demonstration of how far these musicians can push their craft without losing the listener.
I Cling to Threads offers a more atmospheric, futuristic ballad, with guitar solos that evoke the spirit of David Gilmour. It’s the kind of song that takes you far away, a flight through space and time carried by melodic precision.
Enter the Void shifts the tone into heavier territory, with controlled chaos and growled vocals that hammer through the mix like a tidal wave.
The unrelenting speed and power of the song showcase the band’s versatility, as they dive headfirst into metal, leaving no note untouched in the furious cascade of sound.
The penultimate track, Empty and Become Wind, brings together all the elements that make Forever in Transit stand out.
There are moments of pure technical skill, harmonies that soar, powerful melodies, and an overall sense of mastery in how the song is structured. It feels like the culmination of everything the album has been building toward.
The title track, A Coming to Terms, closes the album on a high note, leaving the listener eager to hit play again. It’s a perfect finale, encapsulating the band’s ability to combine technique, melody, and emotion into one cohesive piece.

Cosmic!
Our upcoming album ‘A Coming to Terms’ deals largely with the challenges of navigating the process of self-discovery, the difficulty of separating our concept of “self” and outside influences, and ultimately growth and the trials we go through to become the best version of ourselves. Lyrically, I explored many different perspectives of philosophy and spirituality as reference points. I wanted to find a balance between the positives of self-discovery and growth, but while respecting the trauma that we sometimes have to experience to get there. I hope anyone listening to the album will find some meaning in the concept we present on ‘A Coming to Terms.’” – Dan Sciolino
