our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Flat Moon. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the atmosphere of their music.
The first adjectives that came to my mind while listening to this song were warm and easy like a Sunday in August.
A music that immediately made me travel with my imagination and I pictured myself sunbathing on a beach in Acapulco sipping a Piña colada and looking at the girls in bikinis.
A unique and immediately recognizable sound that winks at the way of composing songs from the 70s and makes you think of those television series like The Chips and Bionic Woman.
A band that certainly spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.
We are surely dealing with excellent musicians.
A nice discovery, adding them to your playlist is worth it.

Flat Moon are a Leeds based band who have recently signed to Monomyth Records. The guys have been making waves in around the northern music scene for the past couple of years. Their blend of complex funk with psychedelic undertones makes them stand out from the boring monotony of the run of the mill 5 piece lad band.
