Edgar Allan Poets – Noir Rock Band | Memphis Stone and The Elevators New Single Out Now
Memphis Stone and The Elevators New Single Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed the Memphis Stone and The Elevators in the past, but they are out now with a new single and I want to share my opinion about it.

Another great song from this talented band.

I immediately liked the Noir and nostalgic vibes of this tune.

A song suitable for sunset when you are about to transform into a vampire and you are getting ready to face the night. You already know that you will return home only when the first light of dawn will start to light up the sky.

Music capable of awakening your wildest spirit and that makes you want to party like a rock star.

This music would be perfect for commercials and as a movie soundtrack.

The production is excellent and the fast pace leaves no respite from the first to the last second.

A nice sonic ride that made me feel like a Valkyrie.

Higher is Memphis Stone and The Elevators’ Single Out Now!

Intense and Sincere!

Higher is the band’s third single… it’s a fast-paced and upbeat rock song – it features soaring guitars and Hammond organ over solid driving drums and bass capped off with soulful vocals. All wrapped up with what is turning out to be a trademark modern production of Matt Hay (who’s worked with Robbie Williams and The Who).

Memphis Stone grew up in 50s (or 60’s) LA before movie to Detroit, and rumour has it he sang as a young boy on loads of famous tracks as he used to hang around the Motown Studios. However, he never got credited as he was a kid. Memphis then went off the rails, before years later two songwriters found him in a bar and talked him into singing on their new songs.

In late 2019 Tom (Weaver) and Lenny (Bonetti), encouraged the legendary singer and soul’s most famous best kept secret, Memphis Stone, back out of retirement and to re-form Memphis Stone and The Elevators.
