Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Foxpalmer. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music.
The first impression this band made on me is that of being very stylish.
The sinuous and warm voice is accompanied by refined music where the guitars move proposing riffs that range from funky to rock and are able to give beautiful and fresh energy to these songs.
The drums beat relentlessly with an enviable precision, I particularly liked the sound of the snare, dry and powerful.
The bass follows like a shadow the movements of the drums and the rhythm section have a perfect musical understanding.
These guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to refine all the nuances so as to be able to offer music so well executed.
Their songs keep the listener glued to the speakers from the first to the last second because the chord progression is never predictable.
A nice discovery that I strongly recommend.
Forever is Foxpalmer’s Single Out Now!
A mature band that offers stylish songs!
Foxpalmer is a London based band that combines Rock, Indie and Folk to create powerful and evocative soulful music.
‘Forever’, the first single from Foxpalmer’s upcoming EP ‘Dark Tides’, blends Rock, Indie and Folk to create a powerful, evocative, soulful sound. A sound and captivating live show that has taken Foxpalmer to a number of UK Festivals including Godiva and Celtic Connections Festival at Glasgow City Hall.
Moving through anger, love, sadness, heartbreak, denial and ‘even a bit of madness’, ‘Forever’ was written during a ‘dark time’ following a breakup – that all-encompassing moment where a new reality can’t be envisioned and moving on seems impossible.
Originally written in late 2019, this single was due to set the band on a new exciting journey, having been booked to play a number of UK Festivals including Boardmasters. 2021 sees ScreamLite Records releasing their new single ‘Forever’ on 26 February, followed by their EP ‘Dark Tides’. The band can’t wait to perform live again!
