Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Daay. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I really liked the psychedelic vibes of their music.
Surely we are faced with an innovative band that likes to experiment with different sounds and scrupulous artistic choices.
A psychedelic sound that winks at a way of making music from the past but at the same time manages to be modern.
The reverberated voice with its high and immediately recognizable timbre is accompanied by very interesting arrangements that take into account unusual instruments and sounds and every little nuance.
I really liked the chord progression that is never banal and with continuous changes can entertain the listener from the first to the last second keeping you glued to the speakers.
Nice mix that leaves the right space for each sound element.
Different and innovative music that manages to mix many genres in a unique style.

Quote: “We’ve been on quite the journey. Releasing our debut single ‘Mama’ at the foot of the pandemic in March 2020 and weeks after being accused by an evangelical American rapper of copying his name ‘DAY’ (standing for deliverance amongst youth).
Subsequently, we changed our name to DAAY. Glad to be clear of angry Americanism we’re now happier than we could have ever imagined with our new name steering away from the ubiquity of DAY and lending a unique touch to the design”.
