our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Allard JJ. I discovered this rocking artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked a lot his energy.
As soon as you hear Allard JJ’s music you feel transported to another era. Vintage sounds and riffs that recall the Woodstock period.
I especially liked the raw sound of the guitars and the simple but effective melodies. A fun rock, music that makes you want to dance and drink a whiskey and Coke.
A mix between Elvis, ZZ top, music that transports you to America and makes you drive a Harley on route 66.
The sounds used are perfect for the genre and the production is professional. We absolutely recommend this artist.
Ideal music for your parties, if you really want to have fun.

Allard JJ’s song “Pelicans’ was #1 in the Dutch indie chart, I’m positive that can be done on more similar lists. Allard JJ was called the “Dave Edmunds’ of the lowlands by a renowned Dutch reporter.
The LP ‘Uncovered’ is out on vinyl 18/12/2020 and will get some great reviews. Allard JJ used to be the founder and drummer for Amsterdam based Claw Boys Claw, and singer / guitarist for Amsterdam based cowpunk band L’Attentat. This is his first solo-album..
