The vocal interpretation reminded me of Amy Lee’s emotive delivery, which suits the song perfectly.
When the Lights Go Down is another intricate piece, with baroque-like arrangements that add complexity to the track’s structure.
The closing track, Ashes of a Dream, is dominated by string arrangements that create a haunting, cinematic atmosphere, reminiscent of Phantom of the Opera.
It’s a perfect way to end an album that feels as if it bridges the gap between different musical worlds—medieval, gothic, and futuristic all at once. All the songs included in this album are solid and coherent.
