There’s a distinct ’80s throwback in the sound, conjuring visions of neon-lit streets and the bold, futuristic aesthetics of that era.

It’s reminiscent of a time when music, fashion, and technology were all experimenting with what the future might look like, yet somehow, this track feels undeniably modern.

The band’s ability to merge these influences into something fresh and current shows their strong production and creative vision.

The song is polished, with no rough edges. Every element—be it the driving beat, the electronic textures, or the dynamic structure—is masterfully thought out.

Around the 2:50 mark, the track strips back, offering a moment of pause before launching into its grand finale, giving the listener a satisfying journey from start to finish.

That relentless momentum paired with a mysterious, intense atmosphere is what makes this single stand out.

There’s a certain urgency throughout the track, one that keeps you hooked from the opening notes until the final seconds. It’s an exciting piece demonstrating the band’s strength in creating retro and futuristic music.

Electrifying!

The Heroic Enthusiasts’ second single from their forthcoming record is out now, and with this new track, the duo’s partnership with legendary producer Stephen Hague takes a deeper course.

The New York duo—comprised of James Tabbi and Thomas Ferrara—was initially born from a shared love of Brit-pop, New Wave, and Post-Punk, following solo efforts and as founding members of bands Eleven Pond (Tabbi) and Bullseye (Ferrara). The pair’s ascent over the past two years is as remarkable as it is refreshing—evidence that musicianship, songwriting, and studio expertise still matter in today’s all-too-often jaded music world. Furthermore, their almost two-year working relationship with Hague has now grown into one of mutual respect and friendship, and the duo now finds themselves collaborating with the visionary music maker whose sound defines not only the duo’s own influences, but pop music’s past five decades.
