The vocals interpretation reminded me of Mick Jagger, guiding the lyrics with a sense of swagger, but it’s the introspective nature of the song that hooks you from the first chords.

The guitar arpeggios float gently, creating a nostalgic atmosphere, while maintaining a refined elegance—a hallmark of Engel’s composition style.

The song’s lyrics flow like poetry, enhancing the emotional depth of the track.

The bridge, where strings and piano interact, is particularly stunning. This section feels like a moment of musical poetry, with arrangements that lift you into a dreamlike state.

The delicate piano arpeggios evoke images of dragonflies lightly touching the surface of water, leaving ripples in their wake. It’s a song that fills your heart and soul with warmth and shows again Engel’s ability to craft music that resonates deeply.

The Luxembourg singer and songwriter Jeremy Engel releases his latest single “Escape Game”. The track perfectly balances despair and beauty offering a profound reflection on the games we all play and the inevitable realisation that some battles can’t be won.

Jeremy Engel is a Luxembourg folk-rock musician and singer.
The release date of On Your Wire is not casual. In 1974, on August 7 th the high wire artist Philippe Petit completed an illegal high wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre of New York City. The track is inspired by this historical event. The artist’s aim is to celebrate Petit’s tricky task but also reflect on how life is about courage.
