Good Day Noir Family,
Georgia Crandon’s single, “Make Me Yours,” transports you into a nostalgic 60s atmosphere, with its retro-inspired sound and soulful delivery.

The moment the track begins, you’re whisked away to a classic American diner, like stepping into an Edward Hopper painting where you can observe the lives and relationships of people around you.

The background vocals are rich and enveloping. Crandon’s voice is exceptional—unique, precise, and confidently powerful.

There’s an emotional depth in her delivery that resonates strongly, making her music not only uplifting but also introspective.

Her ability to balance catchy melodies with thoughtful lyrics shows her skill as an artist. The song explores the hope and longing in relationships, a theme that’s timeless and relevant in today’s world where connections often feel fleeting.

At the 2:12 mark, the bridge reminded me of Adele’s emotive style. It’s a brief but brilliant shift that adds a new dimension to the song, pulling the listener in even further.

The piano break that follows is brilliant, bringing the track back to its catchy chorus.

In a time when relationships can often feel shallow, Crandon’s “Make Me Yours” is a refreshing reminder of the desire for deep, meaningful connections.

Perfect!

Written by Crandon, the song revisits ‘unfinished business’ in terms of relationships. In growing up through adolescence we  sometimes meet partners that appear to be beyond reach. It may be a divide underlined by an age gap, class or even sexuality.
But the coming together, again with a sensible head, once all of the noise has faded, is what this song is generally about.

Georgia explains; “I feel that there is a lack of vulnerability in music today, particularly when talking about love and relationships. This song is simply explaining the feeling of loving and accepting someone entirely whilst maintaining self worth and values. Admitting to being completely in love with someone and wanting to be bound to them is not a weakness.”
