Preyswitch’s intuition to remix the tracks of this eccentric English band proves to be an eureka moment. This artist was able to transform 9 o’clock Nasty’s typically alternative rock sound into a unique industrial atmosphere.
Imagine a minotaur with the head of The Prodigy and the body of Fatboy Slim. That’s the sonic image that comes to mind when listening to this EP.
The grooves are relentless and energetic, transporting you to a world of late nights, dimly lit clubs, and endless dancing. The fusion of these two distinct musical projects results in truly intriguing music.
The EP opens with “Bad Monkey (Preyswitch Remix),” a pulsating track that sets theatmosphere for the entire listening experience.
Preyswitch’s signature industrial sound is evident from the start, with heavy beats creating an atmosphere of tension and intrigue. 9 o’clock Nasty’s original vocals and guitars blend with the remix, adding a layer of raw emotion to the track.
“Retreads” continues with ” Smash Grab and Go” a track that further explores the industrial-alternative fusion.

Preyswitch is a musician and producer with pedigree. A wild wizard with a thick cuban cigar permanently fixed in his right fist. Based in a place so hostile that for six months of nightless day insects as large as cats constantly slam against the window. A place where for six months of dayless night bears dressed in tight lycra and leather caps rummage through bins and scream for vengeance at an unkind moon.
Reclusive, mysterious and prone to rage against almost anything, Preyswitch heard something in our songs that made him want to…. utterly destroy and rebuild them.
So, of course we worked with him. RETREADS 1 takes three of our recent singles and twists them into new shapes and patterns. It’s for a dance floor but not the one you’re thinking of. A dance floor where limbs throw shapes that make your guts ache and your feet sweat. A dance floor on the edge of reality, where wilderness meets the hard vacuum of space. This is the serious stuff. For the pro-consumer.
