Mickey Humper, A Pocket Opera is 9 o’clock Nasty’s Ep Out Now
I am more and more impressed by the number of songs that this band manages to produce and above all by their infinite creativity.
9 o’clock Nasty takes you back to the industrial revolution when the first assembly lines were used to ramp up production. They, who paint their faces black, reminded me of children who worked long hours and who had their faces covered in coal.
In this case, however, there is no exploitation of child labor as the fantastic 3 of Leicester are already mature so they can keep producing songs nonstop.
I really like the concept of two bands developing a musical theme following their own style and instinct. It can be seen that from the same starting point, there are infinite artistic paths to follow.
The Qwarks are psychedelic and have in my opinion Beatles undertones. 9 o’clock Nasty instead have a more American sound more underground and garage.
In this collaboration, there is all the sincerity of independent music. These projects are what keep the creative fire of musical art alive.
As always thumbs up.
