The compositional style of this artist is very interesting.
A rock that in some ways reminded me of bands like Weezer even if the sound is less aggressive and winks at folk.
An artistic approach that takes inspiration from the music of the past, the early 90s in my opinion.
Surely Spencer Brill has a solid artistic vision. The chord progression and rhythmic variations of the debut single Hospital Song are well thought out and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is good and the work done by all the band members who help Spencer Brill’s vision come true is flawless.
Hospital Song is a catchy song and although the melody suggests positive vibes in reality the lyrics speak of the fear of dying. Of those moments when we don’t know if we’ll make it and many thoughts come to our minds.
This contrasting aspect between lyrics and music fascinated me a lot, a great discovery that I recommend to everyone.
