Good Day Noir Family,
welcome to Edgar Allan Poets indie music corner. A space dedicated to the best new artists and bands we find around the web. Today’s feature duo is Lovesick and their Album Hoping This Is the End.
Hoping This Is the End is Lovesick’s Album Out Now
The music proposed by this duo is truly intriguing.
A compositional approach that is inspired by the past but which manages to be modern at the same time. The thing that I liked the most is the twilight and vintage atmosphere created by their songs.
Lovesick has been able to create a unique sound blend, full of influences.
In some moments I heard Bob Dylan, in others Beck, and also David Bowie, and Nick Cave.
The acid sound of the guitars and the vocal interpretation catapult you into another era while the arpeggiators and keys seem to come from the future.
Hoping This Is the End is an intense album. Energetic songs alternate with more introspective tunes. These dynamic and harmonic variations demonstrate the great artistic personality of Lovesick.
The collaboration between Goolkasian and Heather Joy Morgan seems to live in a limbo of its own. These two artists together create a magical atmosphere that hypnotizes the listener.
Absolutely recommended to everyone.

Hypnotic and Unique!

Goolkasian, also know as The Texas Governor, of the notorious & cutting edge trio, The Elevator Drops, is back with new music. LOVESICK, a creative collaboration with painter & chanteuse Heather Joy Morgan.
An overdose of inventive love songs exploring the splendor & madness of love. A creative Rock & Roll experiment. A light & dark electro-cabaret. Lovesick’s debut release, “…hoping this is the end…”, was written and recorded in the anxiety of pandemic isolation and yet it feels free-spirited and fun.
