The thing that struck me the most about this new single is the melodic line.
A truly unique way to place vocals over the chord progression. I had to listen to the tune several times to understand its nuances.
I believe that Island clearly demonstrates the compositional skills of this artist.

In my opinion Island is intriguing as he opens new boundaries. onedaybear managed to find his music and should continue in this direction.

After playing in various successful indie bands, Michael decided to record and release original songs more strongly influenced by alternative rock. The latest single “Island” is about dodgy landlords and the post-Brexit years living in Manchester, UK.
