Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Mars McClanes in the past but they are back with a new single and I want to share my opinion about it.
¿Dónde Está Santa Claus? is The Mars McClanes’ Single
Joining the no-holds-barred battle for public attention during the Christmas holidays is The Mars McClanes.
I’m glad these guys covered a Christmas song as I’m sick of hearing Mariah Carey and Bublé all the time.
The version of ¿Dónde Está Santa Claus? by The Mars McClanes is powerful with a nice rhythmic cadence. The overall sound reminded me of Weezer and also Lemon Head.
These guys have produced this song flawlessly and the performance is really good.
A tune that puts you in a good mood and prepares you to experience Christmas with a lot of extra energy. Making a rock version of this old cover is a truly brilliant idea and I suggest you go and check it out!
¿Dónde Está Santa Claus? is The Mars McClanes’ Single Out Now!
Great Version!
¿Dónde Está Santa Claus? is The Mars McClanes’ Single
When I was five, I would lie in bed at night asking God to give me magical powers.
Flight, heat vision, anything. I was kinda irritated when it didn’t happen—didn’t seem like that big an ask.
Augie Rios’ 1958 hit “Donde Esta Santa Claus” is our favorite holiday song—it reminds us of our young wonder-filled selves for a couple minutes. Augie’s character doesn’t question the existence of the supernatural, he’s just irked the magic is behind schedule. And that’s the hook…a song about a disappointment that’s brimming with optimism.
We seek here to liven the proceedings with fuzzy telecasters and a second—okay third—round of eggnog.
