Don’t Wake Me From This Dream is Jonny Ong’s Single
I liked the rhythmic cadence of this song right away.
This artist has a modern composing style which, however, does not disdain drawing from inspirations from the past.
Surely we are faced with an artist with great musical knowledge and compositional experience behind him.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
Jonny Ong is a complete and mature artist with a solid artistic vision. His music sounds progressive and the attention to every little detail is maniacal.
I honestly found no fault with this music product. The production, interpretation and execution are flawless.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone

Don’t Wake Me From This Dream is Jonny Ong’s Single
Singaporean singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jonny Ong crafts a vibrant blend of psychedelic rock, infused with experimental instrumentation from across the globe and a passionate dose of nostalgia. A tapestry of sound brought to life with prismatic animated visuals, his music pushes boundaries, led by evocative lyrics centred around storytelling, escapism, and desire.
Reconnecting with his roots and stepping away from the hypnotic handpan explorations of his 2021 album ‘Isolation‘ Jonny draws inspiration from rock icons The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Doors, and is strongly influenced by the music, art, and fashion of the 1960s.
A charismatic performer who is equally at home on stage as he is in the studio, Jonny also fronts rock band ‘Holy Roller and The Smoking Guns’, in which he has frequently performed at the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, Zouk Singapore, as well as a tour of the Hard Rock Cafes in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, and Bali. He has since brought these energetic shows to his hometown of London, with appearances across the capital.
Reflecting and experimenting through the pandemic lockdowns, Jonny enters a new chapter, teasing his upcoming album ‘Just Like Yesterday’ with guitar-driven single ‘Don’t Wake Me From This Dream’.
