Friend of Mine is Shiloh, Forever’s Single | Indie Music
I was impressed with the voice of this artist. An absolutely unexpected vocal timbre. Deep and intense that manages to hypnotize the listener.
The atmosphere created by the music of this talented artist is nostalgic and romantic at the same time.
As I was listening to the beautiful melody of Friend of Mine I closed my eyes and saw myself walking the streets of Boston on a rainy day. My thoughts drowned in puddles teased by the raindrops that fell into them.
The wind on my skin made me feel free and alive.
Shiloh, Forever manages to touch deep emotions and thrill the listener with his refined music.
A great songwriter that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Shiloh, Forever is the solo project of 24-year-old multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Matt Roers. Hailing from the frigid northern state of Minnesota, he moved to Boston in 2018 to enroll in Berklee College of Music and pursue a career as an artist and writer. Though he has played and studied many different styles of music, from jazz to blues to classical music, he is particularly fond of soothing, wavy acoustic records; his music being described as a mixture of modern folk and soft rock, with a pinch of psychedelia. A vast musical palate, his influences include the likes of classic songwriters such as Paul Simon and Willie Nelson, in addition to more modern artists in the likes of Ray LaMontagne, Michael Nau, Mac DeMarco, Connan Mockasin, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Phoebe Bridgers, and countless more.
Since starting piano lessons at the age of 5, his affinity for music has snowballed. He started singing in groups at age 7; branching out later in life to explore his vocal identity as a soloist. Most of his free time growing up was spent practicing and playing with a variety of musical groups. Because of this, he sneakily became a diverse multi-instrumentalist; being able to play instruments from nearly every musical family. However, it wasn’t until age 16 when he started playing guitar that he truly fell in love with an instrument; opening a new door in his musical journey. He began writing songs after that and has been doing so ever since.
