Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Gloom. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his compositional vision.
As soon as the guitar arpeggio began to caress my ears, I immediately immersed myself in the musical universe proposed by this artist.
The twilight atmosphere and the nostalgic melody spoke directly to my heart and soul.
The vocal timbre of The Gloom is very fascinating with a slight hoarse which makes the interpretation even more intense.
The musical arrangements are beautiful and manage to fit perfectly into the melody. I particularly liked the strings, they create a halo of hope over the entire song.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The ending is fantastic with the hypnotic repetition of the same words which then leaves room for ethereal keys that literally make you fly.
Go to listen to his music, it is worth it!
Requiem (for Joan of Arc) is The Gloom’s Single Out Now!
Magical and Nostalgic!
