E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Shedonist
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Shedonist. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I enjoyed their songs a lot.
I was really impressed with the sound of this band.
A direct and sincere rock with no strings attached that hits you like a punch in the face.
A particular mention goes to the voice of the singer which is absolutely fantastic, biting, hoarse and irreverent, in some moments reminded me of Courtney Love… even if I must say that I liked the voice of this singer even more than that of the leader of the Hole.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.
Their songs are very well thought out and produced, these guys are the American answer to Måneskin and I’m sure they will be able to do great things in the future as they are very talented.
A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Shedonist is a female fronted four-piece rock band from Los Angeles. Spearheaded by singer/songwriter Jasmin Toubi, the band crafts hard hitting garage rock with a 90’s alternative flair, punctuated by earworm hooks and powerhouse vocals.
Rock music isn’t just a genre, it’s an attitude. For Toubi, singing and sharing her music with the world represents the ultimate form of rebellion. “I’m the daughter of Persian refugees, and I’m very lucky ‘cuz in Iran, women are forbidden to sing” says Toubi. “If I’d been born there, I’d literally be in jail right now for doing what I’m doing.”
