E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – HOL
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to HOL – HOLLIE FINDLAY. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I like a lot her style.
The thing that struck me from the first listening was the sound of the drums and the powerful general sound of the music proposed by this artist.
The way of playing the drums reminded me of Chad Gracey from Live.
The sound of the guitars and the bass is also very beautiful and is impeccably mixed and creates a fantastic sonic mixture.
The icing on the cake is the voice of HOLLIE who, with her delicate but sure tone, manages to create what you don’t expect and makes the overall sound original and unique.
The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

HOL a name you’ll want to remember, just turned 18 years old and already garnered support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio Lancashire and Amazing Radio, she is headed for great things in the year ahead. ‘bones’ is the follow up single to HOLs first studio album ‘The Chapters’ released earlier this year.
Showing once again the diversity of her styles ‘bones’ is based around the feeling of heartbreak or guilt, and the ultimate realisation that if something was meant to be, it will be.
