Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Pacific. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was intrigued by their style.
The music proposed by this band has something epic in it.
Their compositional method reminded me of Muse in some passages.
The high and “precise” timbre of the voice convinced me and manages to distinguish the sound of Pacific that become immediately recognizable.
Songs wisely thought out with a chord progression that is never predictable and banal.
A band that spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.
These guys keep the slightest nuance under control and manage to excite the listener from the first to the last second.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone, these guys have a bright future ahead of them.
Spiral is Pacific’s Single Out Now!
Refined and Modern!
Pacific, based in Manchester, UK are carving their own arena in the industry with their unique blend of alternative, piano-infused rock and indie nuances. Having been spun on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens, featured in Apple Music’s 2021 Breaking Rock and New in Rock editorial playlists, covered in METRO, and winning the national vote to play Y Not Festival from 1,000s of acts in 2019, it is clear that the best is yet to come for this rising band.
With an appetite for anthems, the band’s electrifyingly immediate singles have brought in strong backing. Pacific’s first single of 2021 – “Puzzle” – was championed by Manchester United, adding the track to their pre-match playlist. The single gained spins on BBC Introducing from Manchester and Merseyside, XS Manchester’s Record of the Week, Co-Op Radio and Amazing Radio. Additional industry support over the last year has come from Gigwise, Charlie Ashcroft’s Fresh Finds, This Feeling’s Best New Bands, Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net and Jack FM. Adapting to the times, Pacific have been in virtual high-demand; recently releasing a video series in partnership with Blackstar Amps titled “90 Sec Anthems”.
Pacific were played virtual live sets throughout 2020 – Liverpool Sound City’s ‘Guest House’, the online afterparty for Manchester Arena’s 25th Anniversary, Chester Live Festival, and a live Jimmy’s Instagram takeover. Pacific headline Deaf Institute, Manchester in 2021, following three sell-out headline shows before lockdown.
